Pocket Sprouts: Garden Match · Last updated 8 October 2026

This policy explains what data Pocket Sprouts: Garden Match handles, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the game on iPhone and iPad, on Android, in the browser at pocketsprouts.app/play, and this website.

Who we are

The operator of Pocket Sprouts ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us through the in-game support option or the support form.

Your game account

Pocket Sprouts keeps your game on our servers so your garden is not lost with your device. When you first open the game, a player account is created for you automatically, with no name, email or sign-in. Against that account we store:

We do not ask for your real name, phone number or contacts. Because this data is on our servers, deleting the app does not delete it; see Deleting your account.

Saving progress and signing in

Linking is optional. You can link your account with an email address that receives a one-time code and, on a phone or tablet, with Sign in with Apple or Google, Game Center or Google Play Games. That lets you open the same garden on another device. We store the identifier the provider gives us and, for email, the address you entered. We use them only to sign you in.

Teams, chat and friends

Your chosen name, level and team are visible to other players in teams, friends lists and leaderboards. Messages you send in team chat are visible to the other members of your team. Chat passes through a word filter, players can report messages, and we can mute or remove players who abuse it. Do not put personal information in chat.

Usage analytics

To see where players get stuck and what needs balancing, the game records how it is used: for example starting and finishing a level, opening the shop, claiming a gift. Each event carries your player account identifier and basic game and device information. Events are sent to our analytics provider and a copy is kept in our game database. We never send the text of your chat messages in these events, and this data is never sold or used to advertise to you.

Advertising

Pocket Sprouts shows no advertising and contains no advertising software.

Purchases

On iPhone, iPad and Android

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store sends the game a receipt, which our server checks with Apple or Google before adding the item to your account. We never see your card or billing details.

In the browser

Purchases at pocketsprouts.app/play are sold by our payment partner, who acts as reseller. It collects your email address, payment details and billing country to process the payment, under its own privacy notice shown at checkout. The purchase is recorded against your player account identifier, and our server checks it before adding the item to your account. We never see your card details.

Notifications

Notifications are optional and only sent if you allow them. The game uses them for things like full lives, gifts, events and a reminder when you have been away for a while. To deliver them we store a notification token, your language and your time zone offset. They are delivered through the push notification services of your device or browser. You can turn them off in your device or browser settings at any time.

The browser version

When you play at pocketsprouts.app/play, your browser stores:

These are not advertising cookies. Your progress belongs to the browser you played in; clearing that browser's site data signs you out of that copy.

This website

The pages of pocketsprouts.app other than /play load no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts, and set no cookies. Our hosting provider processes the technical data of each request (such as your IP address) to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.

Contacting support

When you use the support form, the in-game support option or email, we receive your email address, your message, the topic, and the details you choose to include such as your player ID, plus the type of device or browser you used. We use this only to answer you.

Children and the age question

Pocket Sprouts is a general-audience game. On first launch it asks which age band you are in and compares it with the age of digital consent for your country. Players below that age play the same game, but are not offered account linking or sign-in and are not asked to turn on notifications. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond what the game needs to run; if you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Who processes data for us

We use carefully selected service providers, each acting under contract and only on our instructions: a hosting and database provider, an analytics provider, push notification services, payment providers for browser purchases, and the Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases and sign-in on phones and tablets. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved mechanism. Each provider acts under contract.

Legal bases

Under the GDPR we rely on: the performance of our contract with you to run your game account, save your progress, sync it between devices, and deliver purchases; your consent for notifications and optional sign-in; and our legitimate interest in usage analytics to fix problems and balance the game, in keeping chat safe, and in answering support requests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting what was done before.

How long we keep data

Your game account is kept until you delete it. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Analytics events are kept under our analytics provider's retention settings. Support conversations are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example in the EEA and the UK under the GDPR or in California under the CCPA, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws. To use any of these rights, use the in-game support option or the support form. If you are in the EEA or UK and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.

Deleting your account

In the game: open Settings, choose Delete account and tap again to confirm. It takes effect immediately and the game starts fresh.

Without the game: use the support form with the topic "Delete my account". Include the email address you linked or your player ID so we can find the right account. We answer within 30 days.

What is removed: your name, your linked sign-ins and email address, your devices and notification tokens, and your country. The account can no longer be used. What remains: purchase records, for as long as accounting and tax law requires; team chat messages you sent, shown without your name so conversations stay readable; and the remaining game record, no longer linked to you.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the game changes; the date at the top always shows the current version. Questions: use the in-game support option or the support form.
